 Hardy Cattleya Species From Gold Country Orchids 

Lealia sincorana line bred to perfection by Alan Koch or Gold Country Orchids. These are tetraploid plants with superior size flowers and a vigorous growth habit.  Laelia sincorana is perfect mounted to cork bark hung outside, tolerating a mild frost and full sun (with some midday shade required)  The flowers are huge relatively speaking for the size of the plant and they are also fragrant.  Because they are hardy in a variety of environments for warmer to cooler climates these are first pick  for those wanted to get your feet wet in Orchidacea.  We have some comparative pictures of what Alan started with in comparison to his modern line bred forms of this spectacular species.  Visit our Facebook.com page: Real Orchid Growers for more pictures of this exciting species.

Take a look at one of the easiest growing orchids that you can out your hands on.  Hardy to heat and cold.  Gloriously fragrant.  Makes wonderful mounted specimens when grown on a cork slab or hardwood stick.
